What is the Folding System?

The Folding System (also known as the “folding” or “accordion” system) is an innovative architectural and functional concept mainly used in doors and windows to create flexible spaces that can be fully opened.

How the Folding System Works

The folding system allows multiple panels (usually made of glass, aluminum, or uPVC) to fold onto each other sequentially when opened, instead of sliding to one side or swinging on hinges.

• Folding and stacking: When opened, the panels move along an upper and lower track, folding onto each other like an accordion or handheld fan.
• Full opening: All panels gather neatly at one side of the track, allowing nearly 100% of the opening space to be used.
• Common materials: Tempered (securit) or double-glazed glass with aluminum or uPVC frames.
